FAQ
Do you take walk-in eye examinations at MOSCOT Eyecare?

We always do our best to accommodate walk in patients, though appointments are recommended to avoid wait time.
What types of professionals perform the eye exams at MOSCOT Eyecare?

Our team of highly skilled doctors ranks among the best in their field. All MOSCOT doctors are New York State licensed Doctors of Optometry, fully trained in the diagnosis and treatment of medical eye diseases, with the ability to prescribe medical eye drops for various eye conditions. MOSCOT doctors maintain the highest-level of continuing education including training on the latest and most modern medical equipment.
Can my eyeglass prescription be used for contact lenses? Why is there an extra fee for evaluation?

No, it cannot. Contact lenses require additional measurements/parameters than eyeglasses in order to ensure a proper and healthy fit. There is an extra fee for a contact lens evaluation because several additional tests, extra time and expertise are required to ensure your lenses fit properly, your eyes breathe adequately, and optimal ocular health is maintained. Your follow up visit is included as well.
Do you check for Cataracts and Glaucoma in your eye exams?

Yes.  Our comprehensive eye exam, in addition to checking the correction one’s vision requires, also checks the health of a patient’s eyes..
Will you dilate my eyes?

It is generally recommended that patients have their eyes dilated every two years.  Sometimes, based on a patient’s history, the doctor will do it annually.
What kind of exams do you offer at MOSCOT Eyecare?

MOSCOT Eyecare offers a wide array of vision exams. For a full list of our services please visit: EYECARE: Our Services.
