MOSCOT Eyecare, the medical eye heath services division of MOSCOT Eyewear and Eyecare Since 1915, provides patients with comprehensive eye care services – from routine eye examinations and vision exams for corrective lenses (eyeglasses and contacts) to sophisticated eye health assessments using the latest technology available for a more accurate diagnosis of a full range of medical eye conditions and maladies.

Our team of highly skilled doctors ranks among the best in their field. All MOSCOT doctors are New York State licensed Doctors of Optometry, fully trained in the diagnosis and treatment of medical eye disease, with the ability to prescribe medical eye drops for various eye conditions. MOSCOT doctors maintain the highest-level of continuing education – including training on the latest and most modern medical equipment – and as primary care practitioners, accept most medical health insurance for routine and specialized medical eye care.
Dr. Harvey Moscot, Chief Medical Optometrist at MOSCOT Eyecare and Chairman of the Mobileyes Foundation, is a licensed Doctor of Optometry with over 20 years of clinical experience. Dr. Moscot graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University and as a Beta Sigma Kappa Optometry honor student from The New England College of Optometry. He also successfully completed the National Board of Examiners in Optometry’s “Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease.”

Dr. Moscot serves on the Board of Directors for the Optometric Society, City of New York, and was recently selected by various ophthalmic drug companies to speak to his peers on “new to market” ocular medicines. Additionally, Dr. Moscot
has served as a consultant to a Wall Street investment company regarding the contact lens industry. Dr. Moscot holds active licenses in both New York and Florida. He is an active member of the AOA (American Optometric Association), the NYSOA (New York State Optometric Association), and OSCONY (Optometric Society, City of New York).

In 1986, Dr. Moscot enthusiastically joined the family business. Today, Dr. Moscot oversees all aspects of MOSCOT Eyecare’s comprehensive, state-of the-art eye health care facility. He also continues to provide primary care, with a specialty in contact lens fittings, and co-manages Laser Vision Correction patients with a select group of NYC Ophthalmologists.

Once the temperature drops and the radiators come on, it's officially dry eye season. During the winter months, Dr. Moscot generally sees an increase of 15-20 patients per day who come in complaining of blurry vision and/or persistent watery, itchy, burning eyes.
