
Dr. Harvey Moscot, Vice President of MOSCOT, and Director of MOSCOT Eyecare, is a licensed Doctor of Optometry with over 20 years of clinical experience. Dr. Moscot graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University, and received his Doctor of Optometry from The New England College of Optometry, where he graduated as Beta Sigma Kappa Optometry honor student.
Dr. Moscot earned and maintains his licensure for both New York State and the State of Florida and he holds NY State Certification for Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (phase 1 and 2), certification of Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease of National Board of Examiners in Optometry (Part 2 and Part 3) and certification from the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (Part 1). Dr. Moscot completed his internships at the South Boston Community Hospital and the Dorchester House Multidisciplinary Health Center in Massachusetts.
Dr. Moscot maintains the highest level of continuing education possible by attending Optometry conference and seminars around the country and through ongoing training on the latest and most modern medical equipment. He also completed the Chief Executive Optometrist Program at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He was part of a select group of doctors chosen from around the United States to attend CIBA Vision’s “Providing Legendary Patient Care” program held in Florida.
Dr. Moscot joined the family business, MOSCOT Eyewear and Eyecare Since 1915 in 1986. Today, as Director of MOSCOT Eyecare, Dr. Moscot oversees all aspects of MOSCOT Eyecare’s comprehensive, state-of the-art eye health care facility to ensure it is at the forefront of technology utilized to diagnose and treat medical eye conditions. Under his direction, MOSCOT Eyecare has grown into one of the most sophisticated private optometry groups in the country uniquely equipped to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical eye conditions, and is the first private optometry group in New York
City to utilize the newest version of the Spectral Domain Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) test for the earliest detection of glaucoma, diabetic retinal disease, macular degeneration and other retinal conditions.
In addition, Dr. Moscot continues to provide primary eye care with a specialty in the treatment of ocular allergies, dry eyes, Computer Vision Syndrome and specialty contact lens fittings, including Toric, Rigid Gas Permeable and Bifocal contact lenses. He also regularly treats and manages glaucoma patients, and co-manages treatment of retinal pathologies, cataracts, in addition to managing Laser Vision Correction patients with a select group of local ophthalmologists. He regularly performs contact lens work for film and theater and has a long list of celebrity patients.
Dr. Moscot serves on the Board of Directors for the Optometric Society, City of New York, and was recently selected by several ophthalmic drug companies to speak to his peer on “new to market” ocular medicines. Additionally, Dr. Moscot has served as a consultant to a Wall Street investment company regarding the contact lens industry and as a consultant for contact lens companies advising on the development of new contact lens technology.
In 2008, Dr. Moscot founded The MOSCOT Mobileyes Foundation – a charitable organization dedicated to providing free medical eye exams and vision screenings to New York City’s underserved populations. As Director of the Foundation, Dr. Moscot oversees the Foundation’s overall management and development in addition to regularly participating in the screenings, diagnosis and treatment of New Yorkers in need.
He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Contact Lens and Cornea Section, the New York State Optometric Association and the Optometric Society, City of New York. Dr. Moscot is proficient in Spanish.
Dr. Bo Yung Kwon serves as Senior Associate for MOSCOT Eyecare, the medical eye division of MOSCOT Eyewear and Eyecare Since 1915. Dr. Kwon is a licensed Doctor of Optometry in New York State and holds NY State Certification for Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (phase 1 and 2), certification of Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease of National Board of Examiners in Optometry (Part 2 and Part 3) and certification from the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (Part 1). She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry, and her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Comparative Literature from State University of New York at Binghamton.
As Senior Associate for MOSCOT Eyecare, Dr. Kwon specializes in the treatment of ocular allergies, dry eyes, Computer Vision Syndrome and specialty contact lenses. She also treats and manages glaucoma patients, and co-manages treatment of retinal pathologies, cataracts, and LASIK with local ophthalmologists.
Prior to joining MOSCOT, Dr. Kwon spent five years diagnosing, treating and managing a wide variety of ocular diseases at health clinics and private vision centers throughout New York and Connecticut. She also completed internships at the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical, the West Point Military Academy Eye Clinic and at SUNY College of Optometry.
Dr. Kwon is a member of the American Optometric Association, the New York State Optometric Association, the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and the Lions Club. She also regularly volunteers for MOSCOT Mobileyes Foundation, MOSCOT’s charitable foundation providing free medical eyecare and vision screening for New Yorkers in need. She is fluent in Korean, with a workable knowledge of Spanish.
Dr. Brandon Butler is an Associate Optometrist at MOSCOT Eyecare, the medical eye division of MOSCOT Eyewear and Eyecare Since 1915. Dr. Butler received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and Music Performance from the State University of Bakersield, California, and his Bachelor of Science in Physiological Optics and a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of California at Berkeley, School of Optometry.
Dr. Butler received his Doctorate of Optometry from the State of New York in 2004. He holds a State Certification for Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents in both California and New York and a Certificate of Diagnostic and Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease of National Board of Examiners in Optometry. Dr. Butler completed his internship at VA Hospital in Sacramento, California and Ophthalmology rotations at the Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He also completed an externship at the Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Dr. Butler joined the Moscot Eyecare family in 2007 where he specializes in the treatment of ocular conditions including eye infections, dry eye, ocular allergies, diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, post – op care for LASIK and cataract patients, computer related vision syndromes, contact lens fitting, and specialty contact lenses for film and television.
Prior to joining MOSCOT, Dr. Butler practiced in San Francisco, CA, where he served as Secretary of the San Francisco Optometric Society and was a member of the California Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and Lyons Club.
Dr. Butler is a member of the American Optometric Association, the New York State Optometric Association and the Optometric Society of the City of New York.
Dr. Courtney Case is an Associate Optometrist at MOSCOT Eyecare, the medical eye division of MOSCOT Eyewear and Eyecare Since 1915. Dr. Case has her license and certification for the use of therapeutic pharmaceutical agents in New York and Pennsylvania. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Physiology from the University of Florida, and received her Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry, where she graduated with honors. In addition, Dr. Case was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in October 2008.
Dr. Case completed her internships in a variety of settings including Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester, MA, Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Havre de Grace, MD, the Veterans Administration clinic in Worchester, MA and Ridgefield Eye Care in Ridgefield, CT. Moreover, Dr. Case did her residency training at the Hudson Valley Veterans Hospital, and finished with a specialty in Ocular Disease. While in residency Dr. Case trained in the management of a variety of eye diseases with greatest emphasis on glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, and the treatment of acquired brain injury amongst returning Iraqi veterans.
Prior to joining MOSCOT Eyecare, Dr. Case trained and worked with Dr. Donald Korb in Boston, MA, a well-known private practice with emphasis on specialty contact lens fitting.
Dr. Case has co-authored two publications – one on the effect of novel lubricant eye drops on
tear film lipid layer thickness in subjects with dry eye symptoms, and the second on the application of warm compresses that were proven to induce transient visual degradation secondarily to polygonal reflex of Fischer-Schweitzer. Dr. Case was the primary author of several poster presentations presented to fellow colleagues at national meetings with topics including, Heterotopia of the Macula, Neovascular Macular Degeneration, and Ocular Myositis from Lyme Disease. Dr. Case has also lectured on several topics including a COPE approved course on the early identification and management of Macular Degeneration with both Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and the use of Lucentis injections.
Dr. Case is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships including the AAO Travel Grant, the Alumni Scholarship, the Otto Hoffsteader’s Scholarship, the Trustee’s Scholarship and she was a member of the Honors Society for all four years of her graduate study. She has attended numerous workshops and conferences held by the AAO, AOA, Alcon, Coopervision and other organizations. She is a member of the New York State Optometric Society, OSCONY, American Optometric Association (AOA), cornea and contact lens section of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), sports vision section of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), and the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists. She also regularly volunteers for MOSCOT Mobileyes Foundation, MOSCOT’s charitable foundation providing free medical eyecare and vision screening for New Yorkers in need.
