MOSCOT and BLK DNM, both native New York brands, have joined forces to produce a unique selection of unisex frames to compliment BLK DNM’s current collection, just in time for summer.
The collaboration marks the marriage of old and new New York. “MOSCOT is a New York institution and we are a fledgling brand. MOSCOT lends their expertise and incredible craftsmanship and BLK DNM offers attitude – a sophisticated yet gritty image which is how I see New York right now,” Lindeberg remarks. MOSCOT president, Harvey Moscot adds, “By incorporating Johan’s renowned design sensibility and combining it with our nearly 100 years of eyewear expertise and distinct aesthetic heritage, this collaboration captures the essence of the MOSCOT brand.”
To mirror the minimalist aesthetic of the BLK DNM brand, each streamlined frame is named SUNGLASS 1, SUNGLASS 2, and SUNGLASS 3. A description of each frame is below:
A rounded frame that is slightly squared off at the top, SUNGLASS 1 is available in jet black with brown lenses. Featuring the collection’s signature metal insert that wraps from front to temple this model is made of acetate with a saddle bridge and five-barrel hinge.
This model, available in jet black with classic G-15 lenses, features a square silhouette that is flattering for any face shape. Made from acetate SUNGLASS 2 has a saddle bridge, five-barrel hinge, and the collection’s signature metal detail on the front and temple.
The collection’s boldest frame is chunky, yet classically refined. SUNGLASS 3 is a squared off frame with an ever so slight upsweep across the brow. Available in jet black with green lenses this frame is made of acetate with a saddle bridge, five-barrel hinge, and the collection’s signature metal detail on the front and temple.
The limited-edition capsule collection will debut in New York on July 14th at MOSCOT stores and BLK DNM’s new temporary store, POP 1, located at 237 Lafayette Street. The collection will also be available online at moscot.com and BLKDNM.com.
