MOSCOT ADDS SIX NEW STYLES TO THE MOSCOT ORIGINALS SUN COLLECTION

Protecting Your Eyes Has Never Looked Better

Paris, FRANCE, SILMO, Booth F/106 Hall 5a, September 29, 2011 – MOSCOT, a New York City eyewear institution renowned worldwide for its iconic eyewear, today announced six new additions to the MOSCOT Originals Sun Collection. From the super round ZOLMAN that Sol Moscot himself wore, to the old Hollywood glamour of The MAVEN, the new frames’ timeless good looks, historically accurate details, durable construction, and old school glass lenses, will leave no doubt you’re wearing an Original.

Introducing The BUMMI, GRUNYA, IPISH, MAVEN, MECKIE, and ZOLMAN:

The BUMMI Think LEMTOSH, but with a little more cat eye and made smaller for folks who don’t have gigantic heads (or rather, folks who have slightly smaller heads). Available in Grey Fade.

The GRUNYA Can’t decide between The NEBB, LEMTOSH, and MILTZEN? Stop trying. The GRUNYA is an amalgamation of all three and simply put, it rocks. Available in Crystal.

The IPISH The super cool, ultra rectangular, in-your-face, IPISH, with a slanted bevel across the top, is large and in charge. Worn by intellectuals, mathematicians, and spooks in the 1950s, these frames are perfect for those of you with a bit larger noggin — err, brain. Available in Black.

The MAVEN The must-have MAVEN is so charming and elegant and refined and captivating...you may be driven to knock your best friend to the ground and steal the pair she’s wearing off her face. But please don’t. Available in Flesh.

The MECKIE Who says real men can’t wear a cat eye? The MECKIE busts down the cat eye gender barrier with an ever-so-slight upsweep. Freedom and equality for all...at long last. (For women too, of course.) Available in Black.

The ZOLMAN It doesn’t get any more cool and classic than this — the perfectly round ZOLMAN is Grandpa Sol’s frame. Yes, that Grandpa Sol. And yes, that frame from the photo of him sitting in his vintage Ford on Rivington Street, circa 1934. As we said, cool and classic. Fun fact: Zolman was Sol’s name on his birth certificate. Available in Flesh.

The new MOSCOT Originals Sun are available now in MOSCOT shops and online at moscot.com, and in retail and specialty optical shops worldwide.
